• ½ cup wheat flourBagel Shmagel
  • 2 ½ cups white flour
  • 1 tsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 medium egg
  • ¼ tsp. baking powder
  • ¼ tsp. baking soda
  • ½ cup carrots, chopped
  • ½ cup spinach, chopped
  • ¾ cup water

Preheat the oven to 350° F.

Combine dry ingredients, then add wet. Mix, then knead by hand. Form into ping-pong-ball size, flatten, then poke hold in the center, form into bagel shape.

Bake for 50 minutes on baking sheet sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Cool on rack. Store in a sealed container. Serve.

Yield: 16 bagels
